Andrew and I went apple picking yesterday. I'd never been, and since he had taken off from work, we headed over to Hillview Farms in Gillette, NJ. It was pretty much their last day of apple picking for the season so there wasn't the best selection of apples to pick, but we still got some good ones.
We ended up with exactly $20 worth of apples (I love when things work out that way!). My favorites were the Suncrisp apples, which tasted so much like apple cider that I have to assume that they're what cider is made from - unless there are similarly tasting apples (very likely) that I've just never had before!
Protip for the next time I go apple picking: go toward the beginning of October. My options will be a lot greater. :)
